Reading self-selected books sends readers on trips everywhere with people we won’t meet in daily life. Remind students to read every day and help them find read alouds to listen to! Reading: a lifelong pleasure!

This! Unfortunately, there are a few students that keep the other students from learning and the teacher from teaching. We can’t set high expectations and then be given excuses for disrespect and disruption. @WatersWanda @mswilsonsclass

Reading aloud has so many benefits for students, it’s important to make time every day! @ERobbPrincipal
We worry when we hear teachers say that "there is no time in the schedule for read aloud." Teachers need agency to make choices in their classrooms about how to spend their time, and the read aloud and independent reading are two priorities. @ERobbPrincipal @DisruptedTv
