Today the Federal Housing Finance Agency announced regulations— the first of their kind— to condition federal financing on tenant protections. Effective Feb 2025, FHFA will require 30 day notice before a rent hike or lease term expirations. fhfa.gov/news/news-release/f…

In the colonial archives, I've seen stories of heat-related illnesses & death during the Hajj. But I've never read of anything this bad. This is a travesty wrought by climate change. Every aspect of our world-including religious practices-will be forcibly transformed by the heat.
