During heat waves, check on your friends, family, and neighbors daily. Extreme heat can be hazardous for everyone, especially for older adults.

ALT A light yellow infographic titled, "Extreme Heat: Older Adults. People 65 years or older are at greater risk from extreme heat health problems." Below are a couple dancing on a patch of sand, framed by the ocean, clouds and three seagulls in the distance. The tips read, "Find somewhere air conditioned. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. Wear loose, lightweight, or light-colored clothing. Avoid high-energy activities during the midday heat and stay in the shade."
Right now, Phoenix 2024 temps are #9 of 100°F days to date and tied for #3 with 110°F days to date. This can always change. A wetter monsoon can cool things off; a drier monsoon can make things hotter. We'll have to wait and see. Meantime, stay cool and hydrated, and check on your neighbors, friends, and pets. 🤠 🥤☂️
