Imagine boarding a flight from Japan to Texas for the World Cup. Your team grinds out a 2-2 thriller. Then, while everyone else heads for the exits, you and thousands of fellow supporters grab trash bags and leave the 80,000-seat stadium cleaner than you found it. No prompts. No cameras chasing clout. Just quiet, undeniable respect. That’s the Japanese fans. 🙏🏻🇯🇵

Zimbabwean author Sue Nyathi has achieved a major career milestone after her best-selling novel, The Polygamist, was adapted into a trending Netflix telenovela. The 22-episode drama, which premiered on 12 June, follows the double life of a successful businessman whose secret relationships threaten to destroy his carefully constructed world. The adaptation marks another significant achievement for Zimbabwean talent on the global entertainment stage. f.mtr.cool/hbcbgvobwl

This morning I want to raise alarm on lost income to the Exchequer on the subject of TAXATION of gifts . A gift is deemed income beyond certain value thresholds , a gift is deemed a sale , therefore the value of the gift should be taxed in the hands of the Recipient at fair market value . Are the values of these gifts we read so much about taxable according to the Income Tax Act ? Simple logic , if you give your child an immovable property the fair market value is not tax free under the Capital Gains Act (Chapter 23:01). It is a deemed sale . So many assets are exchanging hands in the name of Donations and Gifts , Cars, pieces of land etc , is the interest of ZIMRA invited to assess market value and tax the Recipients accordingly ?

These are the brothers who’ve walked this journey with me from day one, Spikiri & Jakarumba. 🙌🏾❤️ I couldn’t have imagined this path without them. Looking at us today, I’m proud of how each of us has stayed true to who we are and what we stand for. #Brotherhood #Legacy #IBelieve

Breaking: China’s Ministry of Education has directed universities to eliminate and revoke 12200 undergraduate degree programs that are irrelevant in the incoming AI era while adding ~10,200 new ones. “Eliminated degrees” are mostly in: •Arts & creative fields (photography, illustration, comics, visual communication design, fashion design, animation, new media art) •Humanities & languages (translation, some broadcasting/journalism). Yes Journalism is gone as a study degree. - Oversaturated areas (public administration, marketing, information management, product design) These were cut due to weak job prospects and AI disruption. New programs focus on AI, robotics, data science, semiconductors, embodied intelligence, and advanced manufacturing to align with national tech goals and ease graduate unemployment.

A train ride from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium for the World Cup costs nearly $100. So TIME's Sean Gregory walked 13 miles from Penn Station to see if getting to New Jersey mostly on foot was a cheaper alternative. Here's how long it took—and what it cost.

self-inflicted. this would have NEVER happened if anthropic didn't make such a big deal about mythos being dangerous.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…
