Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, is on a visit to Odisha from 12–13 February 2026. During his visit, he graced the 4th meeting of the State Cooperative Development Committee (SCDC), held on 12 February 2026 and chaired by Smt. Anu Garg, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha, to review progress and guide the holistic development of the cooperative sector under the vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi.”
The meeting highlighted significant progress in PACS and RCS office computerisation, rapid operationalisation of new PACS/LAMPCS, development of grain storage infrastructure under the World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan, and expansion of Jana-Aushadhi Kendras and Common Service Centres through PACS. Efforts to transform PACS/LAMPCS into multi-purpose, one-stop service centres, and future action plans were also reviewed.
The meeting was also attended by Shri Siddharth Jain, Joint Secretary, and Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Director, Ministry of Cooperation, along with officials from the State Government and other key cooperative stakeholders from the State.
