Speaking just as an outsider, I'm sure it's been said many times before, but at this point isn't Trump basically like a meme stock? The more outlandish or shocking his behaviour, the more appealing he is to a kind of "let's burn it all down to give the elite a good kicking" crowd

🚨 In just one afternoon, a data scientist built an open-source AI tool to rival Google’s NotebookLM! 🔥 Open NotebookLM turns PDFs into personalized podcasts using AI models like Llama 3.1 & MeloTTS — and it’s free! 🔗 Full story: venturebeat.com/ai/this-open…

A really interesting unfolding conversation here at #DF24 re #Agents is about how they complement other automation technology approaches. As limitations are addressed, natural affinity with case management - which of course often sits in front office

Also - consider how (carefully) written policy docs, injected via RAG, become analogous to business rules

On way to #DF24 to soak up the #AI vibes. In past years I’d tweet my reactions to keynotes, etc etc. However tbh I’m not sure how much of my network would really take notice on here, these days?

I heard Tony on @r4Today previewing this, and was *somewhat surprised* to hear the report estimated around 40% of DWP tasks could be automated with #AI. Said the report was done "in collaboration with a big tech vendor" IIRC, but details of that are not easy to come by...

There's an awful lot of good points on this piece on #GenAI market strategy & development

OK let's see if this platform still works like it used to, a little... A #GenAI tech detail I cannot find a quick answer to: how are LLM parameters typically stored once a model is trained? Database of some kind? Flat file?

I guess it probably varies from provider to provider, but any insight gratefully received!

Years ago QuickBooks let users upload receipts and then "AI" would identify the expense amount and category automatically. Sometimes it worked fast and sometimes it took hours. It was actually just workers in the Philippines, and it took awhile sometimes because they were asleep

.@inflectionAI staff acqui-hired by @Microsoft - just not enough of a business opportunity in the market for a standalone consumer #genAI assistant provider?

To paraphrase: even if simply adding more compute is going to be enough to make LLMs truly "intelligent", where will providers get enough, good enough, training data? The open web is already drowning in "botshit"
A key requirement for being a science fiction writer without losing your mind is the ability to distinguish between science fiction (futuristic thought experiments) and *predictions*. SF writers who lack this trait come to fancy themselves fortune-tellers who SEE! THE! FUTURE! 1
