For interacting with @CroquetIO Microverse cards, we take advantage of the @SnapCloud messages broadcast. The messaging architecture is deeply influenced by Smalltalk.
An ongoing thread đ§”
Trying to create a collaborative environment for the block based editor is also an interesting area of exploration. @yoshikiohshima had some neat research results.
The paper (written 2017) of Kanto is available via the list of VPRI writings.

The current version of @CroquetIO OS is built entirely on the web standards. We can just use it to build a collaborative world quickly. So we'll modify @SnapCloud later to support collaboration using Croquet technology should also be possible. @yoshikiohshima@moenig@AlanR0718

Combination of the Microverse and Snap! made our experience of prototyping a bunch of wild ideas so easy and fun.
But the highly orthogonal design like @CroquetIO and @SnapCloud isn't easy and can take years.
Thanks! @gocroquet
Welcome to the Dynaverse! We've been waiting for you :D
We'd like to give you a sneak peek into the first blocks we have been builded this week.
Check out the link below to see a prototype of Dynaverse. We'd love any feedback!

Blocks based editing for #Microverse is a interesting area of exploration. It's time for building indeed! We hope more people have fun with it in the future. @CroquetIO
Dynaverse blocks made good progress! it really starts to work with simple scripts.
Now I can livecode it from within SNAP for interactive control of my #Microverse cards! @CroquetIO@SnapCloud
We can now focus on the fun and get a lively world like this demo!

Itâs not done yet. But seriously, we finally got there with a block based scripting editor for the metaverse. So celebrate this major milestone a little bit :)
More blocks and optimizations related to this under development. Stay tuned!
Did you know that since a decade ago Snap! can translate blocks to any textual grammar? Iâm now experimenting with backmapping arbitrary grammars to identify blocks from text code. Just now went live on a line-of-code basis: snap.berkeley.edu/versions/dâŠ
ALT Generate text code from blocks, switch between mapped grammars, here Python, JavaScript, Smalltalk and C. Selecting parts of the text code highlights the blocks corresponding to the lines-of-code selected for any mapped grammar.
