My dream is for Africa to become the most technologically advanced continent in my lifetime 🙌! It will take a good educational foundation to get there 💪! With @Eazi_Code, we’re just getting started 🔥🔥🔥!
7:23am, 1 July 2024, she asked if I was a motivational speaker. Today she's traveling with me to watch me give a motivational speech to the @Eazi_Code students, as my wife 💍. Total cost of 3 month bootcamp was R100k. We've done it for free for our students. Also secured prizes such as laptops and tablets for the students. Very excited for today 💪! #codeTodayLeadTomorrow #coding #development #learning

Pretty decent WWDC26 from Apple, nothing too exciting, but still all the small improvements are welcome. Biggest update is arguably Siri AI. Said it before and will say it again, the winners in the AI race will be owners of platforms with large existing customer bases. End users will just expect AI within their existing workflows instead of on standalone AI Apps. Siri AI will become the default AI experience on Apple devices for the casual users....great move from Google having Siri powered by Gemini models. Dont forsee a long term future for OpenAI and Anthropic for casual customer facing apps...will survive if they quickly move to partner with platform owners and also provide seamless API access to developers. #wwdc

Attended the Cape Town Business Summit at @CTICC_Official today... for networking, learning... but mostly to hear @VusiThembekwayo speak. First time hearing him in person, and boy did he deliver. From kicking off by touching on current affairs, the fundamentals and stages of every business, to discussing the global business climate: worth every minute of the ±1hr30mins he spoke. Regardless of what stage of the entrepreneurship journey one is at, can't deny his ability to make an entire room believe once again. Overall, the entire event was well done. Usually skeptical and avoid events like this, but today was definitely worth my time.

Grew up in Chiredzi area, only been there once in my lifetime. Absolutely stunning place, great views, 5 star experience in the middle of the bush, world class staff....tops most bucket lists for safari lovers world wide. Whether its worth the 2k asking price per night, think really depends on the individual's taste and expectation. For some, its totally worth it.
I really don't have much to say...

Not everyone can be a web developer, but if you have the time, why not? Initially, I learnt through @ngonithetechguy’s free live class, dzungu rangu pushed me to leading more🤞

Just watched the Google I/O ’26 keynote (all 3 hours of it 😃 ). Interesting presentation, top takeaways: 1. Google is all-in on AI. Majority of all updates were either improvements to Gemini or Gemini integrations into their products. 2. A significant amount of the updates will only be accessible to paying customers. Google’s innovations used to be mostly free for everyone (Maps, YouTube, Calendar, Gmail), but now it seems that those who can afford them will have a significant advantage over those who cannot. Paying a monthly $100 (R1 700) subscription for AI tools is a big ask, especially in developing countries. 3. Software engineering roles will continue to evolve. Google’s dev team (or should I say “agent orchestration team”? 🙃 ) vibe-coded an entire functional Operating System, using 93 sub-agents running in parallel. It was done in 12 hours and cost them less than $1,000 in API costs. Efficient and effective use of agents will become a key requirement. Actually curious, are any of you paying subscribers for Google's AI tools? #google #gemini

Hi, are there any project managers/CTOs/team leads who use linear, jira or clickup? Got a product we've been working on that integrates with these tools to help monitor resource efficiency. Been quite useful for our team internally. Just wanted a 15min discussion to get some feedback on the product.

Proof that @_MakdShelby did get that plane ticket and made it to the 'wedding in cape town' back in 2024 ✈️. As usual, haters will say it's AI, but the receipts and v11s exist 😅!

Hate it when a person keeps saying "honestly" during conversations.....started using Opus 4.7 and each response has multiple mentions of "honestly". What training data was used to train the model and told it that this is the best way to communicate to end users???

I used Nero to burn CDs as a kid and only later got the joke: Nero burned Rome, and "Burning ROM" is such a perfect reference.

I'm all for giving new tech companies a chance….but my experience getting support from @boltdotnew has been terrible. I've been a paying customer for about 5 months now. I am a software developer by trade, and I know very well that the issue can be solved within - 1hr by someone who has the right access on their end, so this all further frustrates me. The issue is blocking me from resolving a problem in a web app I built for a client, hosted on bolt. 3 March – Ran into an issue, searched the docs and couldn't find a resolution for it. The docs then pointed me to their Discord channel (I don't use the platform, so created an account specifically to get support). I searched their Discord and couldn't find a similar issue that had been resolved, so posted my issue with detailed information on how to replicate it. 4 March – A day later, someone responded telling me I should email my issue to their support. 10 March – I emailed their support. 20 March – Only got a response from them asking if I still needed support. 24 March – I said I did, they then asked me to reiterate the issue (mind you, this was already part of this email discussion). I went ahead and did so. They then said "I've connected you with a teammate who can help with this domain issue. They'll get back to you as soon as possible." 28 March (today) – It's been 4 days since this message and I've received no feedback from bolt. The issue is still unresolved. So it's been almost a month now without this being resolved. Has anyone engaged bolt support, and what's been your experience? cc @boltdotnewhelp

Claude is everything she says she is 💪! First month since I started using chatgpt in my day to day workflow that I've used another similar tool more than it.

One of my most entertaining accounts on this platform is @nikitabier's. You get to watch a product manager run a 500M user platform in real time: resolving support issues, shipping features, sharing office anecdotes, and embracing memes about himself 😅. The highs (algo updates, new features), the lows (algo updates, Grok misbehaving), the complex (algo updates, dealing with AI content, reply guys, spam accounts )...all in public. Honestly think documenting his life running X would make a great reality TV show. Any crews ready to make it happen 😂?
