The run Kirky is on right now is absolutely barbaric. Guy puts the puck in the net faster than Sheffield fans give up on their team after a few loses 😂😂 I’m also hearing Fife is pursuing bringing Kirky in for a big playoff push

I think it’s absolutely comical that Team Europe players were tossing American fans out of the course at the American hosted Ryder cup. Could you imagine being an EIHL player and being able to go into Sheffield and just kick any fan you wanted out the arena??? It’s diabolical

Regardless of your view of Danny Stewart as a player (probably not a good one because even in practise he would cheat when he’d join drills), but I think it’s long past time he starts getting the recognition he deserves for the coach he is, turned Nottingham around in one season

The @CanadiensMTL have the best goal horn in all of hockey and I don’t even think it’s close, just hits different when Crosby in a Canadian jersey is part of it as well

Players wages need to go up (especially bottom end), 4-5 rinks need to be replaced, 1-2 more teams added, improved reffing, play games Friday/Sunday and less imports. Do all those and the EIHL can become a very respected league in Europe. Mainstream media coverage goes a long way

Recently published data shows ice hockey as the fifth biggest team sport in the UK for fan attendance - and sixth place is a long way behind.
Maybe the mainstream media will start to cover the game more positively and comprehensively one day … :)

Leagues like Slovakia/Austria get less fans than the EIHL but can pay 2-3x more because they aren’t relying mainly on ticket gates but have big tv deals and big corporate sponsors. The EIHL has the fan base and the numbers it just needs to monetize it much better
