Well, it was nice while it lasted. Single bus fares to rise by an inflation-busting 25%. However, they are still 50p cheaper than the UK-wide fare cap of £3.
🚨 Bus Fare Update for Cambridgeshire & Peterborough! 🚨 Starting Tuesday, July 1, bus fares across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will be changing. From July 1, the fare cap in the region will increase to £2.50. Please refer to operator websites for all fare info.

We're making emergency care faster and more convenient so people don't end up in A&E where possible. As part of our Plan for Change, more people will be seen by urgent community response teams so they're not admitted to hospital unnecessarily. Teams like this NHS Falls Car 👇

Nearly a quarter of a million off NHS waiting lists. Lowest level in two years. And the first time they’ve fallen in April in 17 years! Lots done, lots to do. We’re delivering our Plan for Change. I won’t rest until the job is done.

I’m not trying to sell Potatoes direct, or asking for any sympathy. It’s just a video to raise awareness of the problem that potato grower’s in this area are facing at this current moment. No one seems to know the reason why, everything has ground to a holt 🥔

A textbook example for other councillors to follow and adapt
First month as County Councillor for St Ives South and Needingworth! I’m looking at different ways to update you all about my county council activities - here’s my attempt at a monthly summary with a flavour of different activities councillors do. There’s also a leaflet for the local division with my contact and local surgery details which I’ll hopefully manage to deliver to every street in the next few weeks. May does not involve many council meetings - the council AGM was on 20th May and most committees have not started yet. But it’s a time with many training sessions (especially for new councillors), appointments in committees and external bodies and getting to know more organisations and residents locally.

Glad to see the Tiger 1 launched today, making it easier to get to Huntingdon, especially as I've recently started volunteering there. The new series of Tiger routes were thanks to the hard work of previous Labour Mayor and @NikJohnsonCA previous Deputy Mayor @anna4labour 🌹
