This afternoon’s class began with me taking attendance and pausing for a breath before I could say the thing I always say and a 5th grader chiming in “don’t forget to say ‘thank you for coming to math today.’” - which brought a chuckle from all of us.

We’ve been working hard to keep our afternoons as chill and purposeful as our mornings, and I am happy to report that today we nailed it! You can’t even tell which picture was taken in the morning and which was at 2:50! Way to go, Pathfinders! @SLAMiddle

I have a new advisory - which means I get to learn about all the families.
This week, we are conferencing. It is a thrill to hear the hopes dreams that families have for their kids.
It’s an honor to carry support these as we do the messy work of middle school learning!
