β¨ Project update: NFTURBO is taking a bit longer to complete but for good reason...
We've been making all of the blockchain connectivity modular so any Algorand/Unity developer can use it. We've built a wallet system that lets players connect to Algorand directly inside Unity. To our knowledge, Algorand has never had this and if it did it was over 4 years ago.
We're open-sourcing it in beta very soon.
Everything powering NFTURBO will also be open-sourced: in-game rewards, wallet gating, player profiles, leaderboards, and more.

In the clip below, the player picks up NIKO from a crate, that's an instant transaction to their wallet from within the game.
We're not gonna rush the release. That being said, it may be ready by late next week. All of these tools will also power Polaris, the virtual world.
And great to see so many people staking on our node and making the visual effect we made look super cool. We'll be releasing more info about the virtual world and how it's gonna work in the coming weeks, there's a lot to learn but one thing we can say is in the story mode the @nodekeepers will play a big part of it.
The Node Keepers basically run the decision making (within reason), communication and economics of the virtual world powered by the DAO. If you've still not staked on our node please do because the more people that stake the cooler the visual effect will look!

π In other news, we've built a drop-in Unity SDK that makes it easy for game developers to build on Algorand. It supports Pera, Defly, EVM wallets via
Algorand xChain, and email login through Magic so anyone can play, whether they're crypto-native or not.
Everything happens natively inside Unity, so players sign transactions without ever leaving the game. We'll be open-sourcing it very soon!!
