We've noticed a proliferation of ‘spec competitions,’ and as per our ‘Position on unpaid work’ and ‘Code of Professional Conduct’ the Council deems them unethical.
So, we've outlined some major issues and why professional designers shouldn't submit work: bit.ly/3JNf9iJ

Well-intended companies running art contests: Here is your acceptable framework:
- Round 1: Entrants submit examples of past work a short write up / video
- R2: Small group chosen to create samples & paid appropriately
- R3: 1 chosen to create assets, paid in $ AND exposure
