Daniel Penny snuck up behind an innocent Black man who never touched anyone, and choked him to death while claiming self defense. This happened in New York that has some of the strictest self-defense laws and a duty to retreat. Penny was still acquitted & paraded around like a hero. Karmelo defended himself from a physical assault in Texas-a state with the most expansive Stand Your Ground laws, with NO duty to retreat. And he gets a murder conviction. The only difference in these cases is the enforcement is governed by systemic white supremacy

There is a whole internal system and code the white supremacist have, especially in Texas. I wouldn't be surprised if a deal was cut behind the scenes.
