As a customer, I have no choice. it’s a metal-only card with no plastic alternative. This makes the fee mandatory and unavoidable. In cases of theft, loss, or fraud, this further burdens the victim.
Secure processing & delivery are the basic operational responsibilities of the bank, not premium services. Charging customers extra for the bank’s own mandatory duties raises serious concerns around fairness, accountability and consumer protection.
