Dünya Kanser Günü ve Bilimde Kadın ve Kız Çocukları Günü’nde, Koç Üniversitesi’nde kanser araştırmalarında çığır açan kadın bilim insanlarımızın başarılarını gururla paylaşıyoruz. Genetik çalışmalardan hesaplamalı biyolojiye, beyin tümörü epigenetiğinden en yeni tedavi yöntemlerine kadar yaptıkları çalışmalar, tıbbın geleceğini şekillendiriyor ve birçok insana umut oluyor. Bu ilham veren kadınlar, yalnızca bilimin sınırlarını zorlamakla kalmıyor, aynı zamanda her yerdeki kız çocukları ve kadınlara büyük hayaller kurmaları ve cesaretle liderlik etmeleri için ilham veriyor. Our new preprint is now online! Bengi (@bengiruken)-Kaan (@KaanariciM)-Cansu (@hcansud) worked together to show that networks of neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer can have shared mutations, proteins, and pathways differing in mechanisms, signaling strength, and outcomes.

Cancer latent drivers can additively intensify the signal when coupled with other activating mutations. They have low frequency and escape idenfication. In this study, we explored the potential impact of “latent drivers” on cancer progression and cataloged 155 latent drivers.
