Every ribbon in the Scarf represents a person, everybody matters & everyone has something to contribute.
The Scarf began in 2017 & tells a story of our amazing global community.
I aim to make it long enough to wrap around King Power Stadium, home of @LCFC
POWER TO CHANGE
Completed during a hugely significant hybrid Selfcare Community Learning Exchange organised by @COPEScotland and @msargyll Thank you to everyone who organised and attended and to @jimgannonuk for originating this section of the Scarf, linking amazing groups.😍
Thank you very much Twitter community for 8 wonderful years of friendship and support. The time has come for me to take a break from this arena. You can still follow the progress of the Scarf on Insta and FB. Much love to everyone. 💜
Magenta and green ribbons for a lovely couple from San Francisco who stopped to chat with me and my friend as we enjoyed a Friday morning of fun and freedom. Wonderful to recharge our batteries after a bit of a tough week.
We 💛 being part of the global Camerados movement, being alongside others, no fixing, disagreeing well, being a bit silly, asking someone who may be struggling to help you, knowing it's okay to be a bit rubbish sometimes it's all part of being more human. #CameradosIs10 🥳🎉🥳
A REASON TO GET UP
A conversation with someone devastated by the death of their partner. Having to get out of bed to care for their dog is what pulled them through the dark times.
Stitches slipped and part of the HARBOUR section of the Scarf needed re-knitting.
An unexpected change of plans led to a fascinating and life-affirming conversation.
Sometimes life leads you to where you need to be without you realising. 💜
Thank you to those lovely people who have left ribbons for me in the post box at @makersboutiquestudio in Hayle
You are helping to make the world a better place. ✨️
JUST BECAUSE
Just because the world needs more joy & beautiful things!
Thank you very much @msargyll
for providing me with such a wonderful theme. This section of the Scarf was completed with Easter bunnies & a delicate sparkly ribbon to represent spider webs & butterfly wings.
OUBAITORI
"The Japanese idea that people, like flowers, bloom in their own time and in their individual ways"
A beautiful theme for a new Scarf section. 🌼
Youth services are not merely optional community additions - they are lifelines.
Funding for these services should not be left to chance. It should not be a lottery.😞
We must do everything in our power to give them the stability, opportunity, and support they deserve. 💚
