At @OasisProtocol we have been building with TEEs since 2018, first with the aim to unlock private on-chain shared state. It is still the only confidential EVM in production. In 2024 we expanded our capabilities into the off-chain realm, following the vision of decentralizing all the things. Deploying a TDX VM is the easy part. TEEs are a tool, not a magic bullet and there are many potential pitfalls. Oasis has been building a full stack decentralized solution that can adapt to a variety of requirements. Need a small TCB? ROFL with SGX. Need full scale VMs with containers for your AI agents? ROFL with TDX GPUs. Decentralized on-chain key management and upgrade governance? Enclave provisioning policies? TCB recoveries? Reproducible builds and measurements? Ensuring freshness, integrity and confidentiality? In 2025 AI agent capabilities will expand further to do more fun stuff, perhaps even replacing some of us. Or have they already? 🤖 We better make sure we are decentralized and verifiable. The plan: improve devex/tooling and ease of deployment of decentralized confidential CPU/GPU compute, continue innovating without sacrificing security and launch some fun stuff. Just 🤣
