Senate Majority Leader John Thune just killed the SAVE Act, even though over 80% of Americans, including huge majorities of Republicans and Democrats, demand proof of citizenship to vote. This isn’t leadership. This is betrayal. Thune brought the bill to the floor, then refused to nuke the filibuster or force Democrats into a real talking filibuster. He quietly let the 60-vote threshold do the dirty work and let the bill die on the vine... all while claiming “the votes aren’t there.” The fact that the so-called Majority Leader won’t pass a bill with overwhelming bipartisan support proves the system has been rigged for longer than we can imagine. Both parties manipulate votes to protect the Deep State elite - not the American people. They know the SAVE Act would restore real power to actual citizens. That’s exactly why they block it. They need 2/3 of the HOUSE for it to pass. I am a hard “no” and will never vote for this. I am not voting for any of these appropriations unless the SAVE Act is included.
