Minister Petr Macinka: “Czechs know very well what it means to live without freedom. We have our own experience with communist dictatorship and political trials. That is why we stand with those who strive for a free and democratic Belarus.

Důležité volby v strategickém regionu v 🇷🇺 stínu. O co šlo a co bude dál? Co znamená Pašinjanovo solidní vítězství pro pokračování mírového procesu s Ázerbájdžánem? Moje analýza víkendových parlamentních voleb v Arménii 🇦🇲 pro @11amcz: 11am.cz/armenii-po-volbach-v….

🆕 Last week's EU-#WesternBalkans Summit reaffirmed the region's strategic importance and European future. Yet unresolved regional disputes, political crises and reform setbacks show that enlargement cannot rest on geopolitics alone, argues @BojanaZori2. iss.europa.eu/publications/c…

Important election in a strategic region for 🇪🇺. What does Pashinyan’s solid victory means for Armenia 🇦🇲 and the South Caucasus where 🇷🇺’s waning influence opens new opportunities but the road to a groundbreaking peace remains a rugged one? My analysis: iss.europa.eu/publications/c…
My quickfire commentary on Armenia 🇦🇲 elections. Bottom line: A welcome win for Pashinyan and his vision which 🇪🇺 can support. But without parliamentary supermajority, and with two to three adversarial opposition parties in the parliament, peace process is under threat. 1/2

Despite Russian pressure, pro-EU PM Nikol Pashinyan won Armenia’s parliamentary election. But without a constitutional majority, the peace process with Azerbaijan remains fragile & will require sustained EU engagement, writes @oditrych. shorturl.at/SfShp

What can the 🇪🇺 do? 1) Support 🇦🇲 democracy. 2) Invest more in connectivity. Lock everyone's commitment by shaping opportunities, and conversely costs if peace collapses. 3) Engage in conflict transformation. The durable peace needs a shared sense of justice and dignity too. 2/2

Years of upheaval — from the Ukraine war to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz — have pushed the global shipping industry to rethink how they operate. And that shift is already showing up in their playbooks. 🔗 politico.eu/article/global-s…

Nikol Pashinyan scores a decisive victory in 🇦🇲 Armenia's parliamentary election. But the road to peace will be a rugged one as his Civil Contract party will most likely be short of a straightforward supermajority needed to call a referendum on a new constitution.
