Banange!!! How shall we go to our beds tonight, having witnessed this??!! Why then do we have custodians of the law on our payroll? This is very frightening.

Like we did for Dr Besigye, please share this with all government officials and units under their tweets (overwhelm). Again, maybe they’re not aware of Yasin’s plight. Let’s help them know. Yasin and other Ugandans in such circumstances of oppression need our voice. Show them love

When I received threats in 2023, Dr Besigye reached out to me, requesting to meet me. I wondered what we were going to talk about, but eventually arranged to meet him, on a Sunday. He drove from home to town, just to meet me! And what was the meeting about? Simply encouraging me: “Stay firm, don’t give up. When you give up you discourage others who want to speak up as well”. I could almost touch the determination and passion in his stern voice. That was all he wanted to meet me about - one hour of counsel and encouragement! Then he went back home, and we never spoke again. Dr Besigye’s commitment is amazing! And, with all he has gone through for a better Uganda, to hear someone call him a mole, is such a painful thing. #JusticeforBesigye

As a Generation, I unapologetically state that we've failed this man individually and collectively. He doesn't deserve us. A modern day champion of resilience, defiance and democratic rule. We're sorry @kizzabesigye1 🥲

Our collective despondency robs us a lot as Ugandans. And yet, through my travels I’ve found Ugandans to be some of the best brains on a cross-section of disciplines and a truly resilient people. We need some dignity and national pride

A consignment of these books was impounded by Ugandan Customs 'Security' in Nov 22. The good news is that our Security operatives appear literate enough to read it. The bad news is that they have poor judgement. The Correct Line is in bookstores in Kampala, and on Amazon, etc.

Ebola Virus Disease continues to strike at the heart of the surgical team. It is with profound sadness that we have learnt of the death of Ms. Margret Nabisubi a 58 year old Anaesthetist. Our deepest sympathies are with her family and friends. May her soul rest in peace.

These disasters are, but one of the signs of Uganda’s decades of social, political, economic &environmental mismanagement. A runaway population growth, destruction of forest & vegetation cover on the mountains, destruction of wetlands etc A fundamental reset is a must! 🟥

When a government that has a near monopoly on the use of force compromises the people’s representatives, emasculates the courts of law, and then robs the people, what options do the people have?

Oh, I forgot to add: @okobusingye is such a prolific writer! Probably Uganda’s best female non-fiction writer. @UmemeLtd is doing its thing in my area now, but I am even angrier because I have wait longer before I continue my reading of the book!
