Onivim is such a great editor. Extensions of VSCode with the convenience of modal editing (vim). It's only $40 for a LIFETIME commercial license. That's a great price. Give @bryphe your money, he's doing work. @oni_vim

Our friends at @dev_talk have a really cool forum for developers and have set up a spot for Onivim - and they'll be giving away a license key every month. Check it out here: onivim.devtalk.com/ Thanks @AstonJ for making this happen!

I'm really impressed by the work done on @oni_vim 2. It's an editor that brings vim's superpowers and VSCode's ecosystem together in an native editor, written in C, with sublime text level of performance and responsiveness. Really promising. ➑ onivim.io/

Thanks @marcagba for contributing customizable font weight - so cool to have this in! Great way to start 2021 indeed! πŸ₯³
My first contribution to @oni_vim was also the first to be merged on 2021 - what a great way to start the new year ! 😁 Font weight is now configurable! πŸŽ‰

I just watched @bryphe (Bryan Phelp's) Vim Con talk on @oni_vim, really cool stuff. Just upgraded my build 0.5.0 to the most recent nightly build, and wow super impressive for something in early alpha. Can't wait for 0.6.0, I think I need to learn Reason ML πŸ€”

Awesome work @zachbaylin ! Thanks for all your contributions - really excited for auto-update πŸŽ‰
Super happy to have some time to contribute to @oni_vim again. I recently merged PRs that add a registration framework and auto-update on macOS & Windows! Trying to figure out the best solution on Linux -- if anyone has ideas please let me know!

Just a quick update - still have a lot of work left to do to meet our goals for the v0.6.0 release - so pushing it out until Dec 31st. Seems like we're always over-ambitious with our estimates 😬 😬 Making steady progress though - like vim-ifying the file explorer:

Replying to @oni_vim
@oni_vim Just pre-ordered this beautiful IDE for 40$ (50%). OniVim is a merge of VS-Code and VIM. Very impressive progress and nice programming experience with a lot of language servers.

Also very impressed by @oni_vim. It is still in beta, but exceeds VSCode vim experience by A LOT. Really looking forward to further development of this IDE.

I’ve just gotten around to trying @oni_vim and am well impressed β€” fast vi-like modal code editing and support for VSCode extensions. And I’ve only just switched to using VSCode...
