What United has done post Covid and the ways the company invested in itself will be a case study that’s taught in business school in the very near future. Wildly impressive turnaround.
The entire row is alllllll yours. Welcome to United Relax Row, three adjacent United Economy seats with adjustable leg rests that can each be raised or lowered to create a cozy lie-flat space for stretching out... You'll also get a mattress pad, blanket and two pillows. If you’re traveling with kids, a plushie too! United Relax Row will be available starting next year on more than 200 of our 787s and 777s, each with up to 12 of these brand-new rows. united.com/Elevated

I’m looking to hire a consultant who is an expert at leverage Claude/AI for marketing agencies. Ideal situation is someone who understands sports and can help peak under the hood of GSC to help optimize some of the ways we’re already using AI. Sound like you? DMs open.

I love Penny Hardaway, but it’s painfully obvious that it’s time for Memphis to move on. He tried. The university tried. For many reasons, it hasn’t worked out. Any decision to keep him will just further push Memphis hoops into mid major obscurity.

I hope Memphians make it loud and clear with their $ that the way this franchise is being run sucks for the fans.

First time flying @SouthwestAir after the seating and bag policy change. Woof. Lots of room for improvement.

Jhared beat me in a playoff about 20 years ago in Dothan, AL. That loss made me reconsider whether I wanted to actually pursue golf as a living or even play in college. I opted out; Jhared doubled down. He’s so good and it’s so cool to see him still chasing the dream that I gave up so many years ago. Kudos my man. You got this.
Hell yes!! @Jhackgolf just won his first start on the India Pro Tour with a final round 59* to win by 5. Jhared has become a good friend, we helped raise money for him a few times. Truly one of the nicest people in golf. Won the 2007 Western Am, beat Rickie and DJ in match play. Turned pro at 18. Now 20 years into his pro career he is still grinding. Years of driver yips. It got so bad his friends would try to convince him to not play in Vegas money games, they would feel guilty taking his money. He refused. Found his way out of them. Battled back. A ton of mini-tour players have been broke, but no one as many times as Jhared. And no one plays better when he's broke. Has won mini-tour events multiple times when his cards were maxed and it was win or be done. Has played most every tour in the world. DP, PGA, KFT, Latin, Canada, Morocco, China, and now India. After he missed at 2nd stage here he told @markbaldwin1 he was going to play in India. We thought he was crazy (we still think he's crazy) . He won 1st stage there, finished 2nd at final, now won in his first start. Gets $25,000 for the win, will get into 2 Hotel Planners events, possible a DP event. Moved up 2000 spots in OWGR. Talked to him this morning when I woke up, he was ecstatic. “Going to have some beers” before he gets on his way to next weeks event. I love it, every second of it. This is why I started this account, for wins like this at events no one has ever heard of. (* par 69, around 6,000 yards. A 59 to win is impressive regardless, but for full context)

The Grizzlies gave away a top-10 player in FRANCHISE history with his best years in front of him for three bad picks and probably one player out of the set who will wind up good. They got their tails kicked in by the last two years of decisions and it led to this.

Reposting this on my main timeline because I think it sums up how a lot of us feel. I don’t understand why the current front office has earned the right to put the fans through another rebuild after swinging and missing for several years in a row during an obvious championship window.
Replying to @JohnMartin929
Also, in my opinion, this front office is directly responsible for a lot of the team chemistry issues that now exist. Three years ago, they elected to blow up a core that was on the cusp of the best in the Western Conference to bet it all on unproven rookies. They’ve never been held responsible for how much that decision affected the championship window for the existing core.

Fans matter. Pretty obvious what the fan sentiment is around not only this trade but the general way the front office is approaching decision-making. I have a feeling the @memgrizz are about to experience what @MemphisFB did at the end of the Larry Porter era.

We get it @memgrizz. The tank is on. You can’t get more than that for a player you gave a max deal to 2 years ago? Hard to understand what the Grizzlies front office is doing right now. It certainly isn’t keeping the fans in mind in these decisions.

Feel bad for the Grizz PR staff who have to put these out. But man, the fans deserve so much more transparency on injuries given how few games the last 4 years the star players have actually played.
The @memgrizz today announced the following medical update for Ja Morant.

I think this time of the year is when I notice the biggest difference between my old w-2 salary job life at the @PGATOUR and now running a growing agency in GSC. W-2 world: • collect a pay check (often 3x in Dec. for bi-weekly employees) and set that OOO and live in pure bliss for about 10 days. Entrepreneur world: • Pure chaos • Stress of running down unpaid invoices. Reconciling expenses • Running profitability exercises. • Chasing last minute opportunities to get 2025 dollars in the door. I LOVE the grind and the chase, but this time of year is the biggest difference in those two worlds. And it’s the time of year many wannabe entrepreneurs realize that they just aren’t cut out for the amount of stress and chaos that comes with it. Far more risk. Far more reward. More control over my time. Less of that time available. But, damn, if it isn’t fun. GSC heading into its 5th (!!!) year of business in 2026. Grateful for everyone that’s played a part. Merry Christmas. Happy holidays. Let’s make 2026 the best year yet.

Watching the bowl games today is a really good representation of what is going to become of college sports in the near future if the model doesn’t change drastically. There is no incentive for the players to compete, and there is no time for the interim coaching staff to prepare anything resembling a real game plan, especially when they don’t even know which players will actually end up dressing and playing on the day of the ball game. In college basketball, programs are averaging >75% roster turnover yearly. There’s no relationship between the players/university/city/fans. In college football, G5 programs are effectively JUCO for Power 4. Same for G5 coaches. Just look at the raid of AAC coaches this year. College football and basketball, in general, have become very transactional. College sports fans were shielded from this for a number of years but NIL has put this all into overdrive and out in the open like never before. I’m not sure how this plays out, but the current trajectory of college sports (the money, the scheduling, the roster turnover, the ridiculous coaching changes - all of it) is completely unsustainable.

Outside of about two dozen schools, ALL of college athletics will not survive more than 5 years with the current direction. Economically unsustainable.
Jeff Traylor sounds off about how he has up to 20 players missing the bowl game because of tampering, held hostage over NEW deals, etc. Outside of a few, G5 football won’t be able to hold on.

Bowl games are completely pointless now. 75% of the bowls will die off or change formats in the next 2-5 years. Unsustainable model economically.
Strange to see that some of the Memphis offensive players who warmed up are not playing. Cortez Braham Jr. isn't even in pads anymore.

There is no point in non CFP playoff bowl games now. College football and basketball have huge issues to address in the next 2-5 years or the entire value prop of the college athletics model is going to start to collapse. I’d be very worried if I worked in college athletics now outside about two dozen schools.

FedExForum is cursed or the Grizzlies have the worst training/practice/rehab/whatever protocol in the history of the league. Unreal rate of injuries with this franchise the last 5 years.
Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey will be re-evaluated in four weeks with a stress reaction in his left ankle. "This is a management plan to optimize Zach's long-term health in consultation with the Grizzlies and medical experts," Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN.
