The best cold places that might be habitable do not have the power. Mostly diesel, NG, or wind farms. In Peoria, AZ, we have the largest nuke plant in the US, yet, they are having supply issues due to these centers. And, naturally, our rates rise year after year. Quite frankly, it is BS. I live miles from dozens of these and there is no positive impact to anything around them. They are huge, employee 30 or so people, and take so much juice that they are erecting new high tension powerlines down my street. My power bill keeps rising even though APS claims it is residential demand. The other thing that sucks, unlike other commercial facilities, no one builds around them. Example, fast food, shopping, dining, etc. Things that attract humans, data centers have so few humans that it is not even worth planting a food truck so they sit amongst barren fields.
