I am honored to have Jennifer and her family as my guests at tonight’s debate. I have been touched and humbled by the courage and resilience the Spivey Family has shown as they’ve fought for justice for Scott.
As a wife, mother, and sister, I cannot imagine the horror of losing a loved one in such a brutal fashion. I abhor this system of unequal justice. Victim’s families can only find reprieve if, and only if, Alan Wilson finds the case politically beneficial to him.
Alan Wilson’s corrupt system is the one failing the Spiveys each and every day, as they fight tirelessly for justice for Scott. Their story is unfortunately not a unique one.
Throughout his career, Alan Wilson has worried about his record and resume in search of a big promotion instead of serving and protecting the families of our great state.
That will not happen on my watch. That’s why the Evette Administration will begin implementing my plan for comprehensive judicial reform on day one: fixing our probate courts, rooting out corruption, prosecuting criminals to the fullest extent of the law, and fixing how we choose judges.
I look forward to addressing these issues and discussing Alan Wilson’s record of failure tonight at the debate.
