Very nice - we played with something similar recently, specifically for icons. Runs locally in a fun lil Mac app or via CLI.
Imagine turning any image into a vector (now you actually can)
→ Convert raster images into editable vectors
→ Simplify and control color output

My last project at Uber I pitched and led a rebrand of offers. It will generate >$250M this year.
Iterating to the right color was a large chunk of that impact. I was cobbling together random one-off tools.

This transition is not that fluid/clean. But hopefully the new and pre-existing api's encourage more customization in places overlooked like view transitions (UIViewControllerAnimatedTransitioning is v powerful) or even shaders, mesh transforms within SwiftUI views.
