ALT A color photo of the Ingenuity Mars helicopter shows the rotorcraft sitting on the surface of the Red Planet. Its four slanted legs rest on the rocky surface supporting the box-shaped main body and double propellers. The helicopter takes up the majority of the image, and the rest of the frame is speckled with reddish brown rocks and pebbles. The image was taken by the Perseverance rover’s Mastcam-Z on April 16, not long after the rotorcraft’s 50th flight.

A shout-out to @tenementmuseum for providing images of these historical objects. 4th-graders @RobertHunterES & @CopperHillES had the opportunity to analyze these Primary Documents and, like detectives, made observations, inferences and hypotheses. It's one of MY favorite lessons!
