No matter how much money you make or how connected you are… All of it doesn’t matter if you feel lonely. If you’re lucky enough to have someone in your life, cherish and nurture the relationship.

Building your personal brand is the highest-leverage thing you can do as a founder. There’s no better way to organically get exposure for your business and attract top-tier talent. Just look at your favorite brands — whether it’s clothing, crypto exchanges, or supplements. We’re entering an era where the messenger matters more than the message.

One of the biggest mistakes a person can make is closing their eyes to the changes in the market because it doesn’t fit their narrative. Let go of ego. Adapt or die.

In the early days of ideating Moon Zero, we wanted to combine the team's skills and passions while solving a real problem in Web3. We discovered that a critical challenge that most Web3 projects face is marketing. You can have the sickest game, the best tech, or even founders with a proven track record in Web2… But if you can’t get the attention of your ideal community, then it doesn’t matter. My team and I have been perfecting the art of a successful launch for quite some time now. And with Moon Zero, we plan to take this to the next level by building alongside a community passionate about IP, gaming & anime. So, if you’re interested in joining the movement, I encourage you to check out @MoonZeroHQ . And if you’re a project looking to take your growth to the next level, let’s talk!

You might feel the collab between McDonalds and Jujusu Kaisen came at a surprise, but McDonalds is actually the king of anime collabs. They’ve done Pokemon, Hello Kitty, One Piece, Naruto and so much more. But what’s the point of these anime collabs? Well it’s for exposure to their target audience and to generate more revenue. Because of the meteoric rise in anime popularity these past few years, a number of major corporations have been using it promote whatever it is they’re selling. Take a look at the collab between Overwatch & Transformers. Of all the styles they could have chosen (especially as a 3D game), they went with anime for the promotional teaser. Megan the Stallion just dropped a song called “Otaku Hot Girls” with a line “Ayy, can't touch me like Gojo (Gojo)” Even in NFTs it’s common for a GameFi project who’s building a 3D style game to lean into a more anime style PFP just to sell out the collection. Like how streetwear made its way into mainstream every day fashion, my prediction is anime has a shot to hit that level of mainstream appeal and proliferate into the every day zeigist.

This year, Palworld mas made over $440M dollars by marketing itself as the bootleg version of Pokemon with guns🔫 Fast forward 7 months— Sony, Aniplex, and Palworld formed a new joint venture to take the Palworld IP to the next level in gaming, merchandise, and entertainment. Even if this is a Pokemon knock-off, there are many valuable lessons to be learned here, especially if you’re a builder in the gaming and IP space. 🧑‍🎨 Referencing & Remixing Palworld is essentially a monster-catching game that combines survival mechanics with guns. It’s not necessarily revolutionary, but I would consider combining the elements an innovation. ⚖️ Fair Game Certain ideas can’t be owned. For example, a fantasy electric mouse, an angelic waifu, or a fighting sushi roll with a katana. You’ll succeed more with less effort by learning to spot these concepts and remixing them for your projects. 💸Sell The Big Vision With Sony creating a joint venture with Palword, you can make a safe assumption that they’ll focus on media (anime, music, movies) and merchandising (plushies, figurines, and other physical merch), as well as expanding their game through expansion packs or spin-off games. A strong IP has the potential to generate revenue in multiple businesses.

Just got back home from my travels in Kyoto 🇯🇵 during one of the biggest crypto conferences of the year. Main takeaways 👇 🛠️ The Japanese builder community is growing every month, but the user base of actual Japanese Web3 retail isn’t too big. 🐱 Well-known Japanese IPs are beginning to explore licensing their IPs to Web3 projects, and most major Japanese corporations are already in crypto (they’re just quiet and slower-paced for now). 💴 Because the Japanese Yen is dropping hard relative to U.S. dollars, companies need to find new sources of revenue outside of Japan (a lot of industries, especially in entertainment, are already maxed out in Japan), so my guess is we’re going to see a mass export of Japanese IP and culture to the rest of the world similar to how America exports pop culture or Korea exports K-Pop. ⛩️ Anime Gaming IP is going to be BIG BIG. @MoonZeroHQ will play a critical role in growing this new thriving anime, IP, gaming, and Web3 ecosystem. P.S. You guys wanna see a vlog of the event?

Japan is known as the land of IP, but surprisingly, we haven’t seen the region come into Web3 in a big way yet. I mean, it would make total sense to take these iconic IPs like Megaman and Dark Stalkers and even new ones like Jujutsu Kaisen, but hasn’t this been the case? Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand the business landscape in Japan and have found a big gap between Japanese teams and English-speaking Web3 projects. Language barriers, connections, and lack of information flow…all contribute to this gap. So a partner and I decided to bridge that gap to start GateJapan to accelerate Japan into Web3 as well as create an easier way for Web3 companies to work with Japanese IPs. Our first event will be an official IVS side event in Kyoto, co-hosted by @0n1Force @AstarNetwork and powered with the help of @San_FranTokyo @PlugmanNFT @PudgyAsia @MoonZeroHQ So, if you’re into IP, Gaming, and Anime and want to meet the best builders and investors during your travels, make sure to register here: lu.ma/hv4218py

Lot of creators like to explain why the price of a token goes up or down but I never hear them consider market making, coordinated pumps or maybe VCs need to buy the floor to increase valuation on the next raise. Don’t believe in everything you read.

Whenever the market dips, I feel a sense of calmness. There’s more time to think and reflect compared to when it’s up only. Use this time to your advantage and plant your seeds. When others FOMO, you’ll be ready to reap what you sow. ⛳️

As a kid growing up, I always felt like the odd one out. There was always a group of “popular” kids that I was left out of. Now being in crypto, I admit it’s basically high school all over. Crypto was suppose to be the great equalizer, but now the cabals have formed. I can assure you, the cabals already real whether you’re in memecoins, GameFi, infrastructure, etc. But it’s not too late. We’re so early in the space that even a nobody can become a somebody real quick. Equally, a somebody can fall off into irrelevancy just as quick. Form your crews. Your time is now.

I’ve been noticing a few upcoming projects aiming to be #2, whether that’s being the #2 gaming project, #2 anime IP, #2 SocialFi, etc. I get it. This space isn’t overflowing with retail (yet) so it’s hard to compete for the #1 spot in a small pond. But from my perspective, I feel it’s more advantageous to be 1-of-1. Naval Ravikant said it best, "Become the best in the world at what you do. Keep redefining what you do until this is true.” Applying this to our team at @MoonZeroHQ , we’re doing an anime PFP with the best IP possible, given our resources, like many people are. But the key difference is our focus on helping other projects be successful as an incubator/launchpad. It’s like an Anime IP Launchpad Marketing Agency everyone on our team has a unique passion for gaming, anime, and IP and understands all the cultural references in this niche. This draws from our unique experiences and backgrounds, and it's hard to fake or copy. So, no matter what you’re working on, I encourage you to break out of the mold to figure out how to be your own 1-of-1.
