Beyond excited to announce that I have a book coming out on the 3rd Feb 2022. Might Bite,my story of gambling addiction, will be published by @BloomsburySport Thanks so much to @willis_macp I hope sharing my journey will help others ❤️🙏 Available to pre-order from link in my bio.
That is why extraordinary individuals like @patrickfoster02 that share their story of vulnerability and overcoming adversities (such as a pathological gambling addiction and mental health struggles) to these young men has NEVER been more important.
To everyone who enjoys and loves Cheltenham - have a great week. To those (like me) who don’t, hang in there and do whatever it takes to protect yourself and get through it.
It is impossible to shut it out completely and everything that comes with it but you have got this.
Blows my mind some of the things I see on here now when it comes to ‘gambling harm prevention’. I wish the focus was more about helping and protecting others. People are most concerned about defending/justifying their position to make sure they benefit financially ultimately.
Just watched Unbreakable on @tntsports about players in the RWC 2003 winning team. So powerful and interesting. If anyone wants an insight into why mental health issues are so prevalent in sport then look no further. The power of talking is extraordinary 💙
The time has come to make a change…
Hugely excited to be joining @ReptonSchool as their Director of Year 9 Admissions.
Right time, right place and so grateful for the opportunity. Will still be doing talks for the rest of this academic year 🙌 linkedin.com/posts/patrick-f…
World Mental Health Day 💙
A hugely important day for raising awareness but with the theme focussing on the workplace it’s not just about today but it becoming a ‘way’ and it being engrained in culture. One conversation can really change a life as I know all too well x
Half way through at the moment, can't put it down. It's like reading my own autobiography at regular intervals, only on a larger scale.
I relinquished control of my bank accounts amongst other things thanks to the unwavering support of my now fiance.
Admire your bravery.
Congratulations to @Brentwood_cc and all my mates connected to the club. Good luck in the final and hopefully I might even make it to Worcester to cheer you on 👏 @JoeButtleman @JamesRedwood32 @WebbyChair
The number of people reaching out to me over the last few weeks who are struggling with addiction and mental health is both hugely alarming and upsetting but also weirdly reassuring in that people are doing the biggest and bravest thing in speaking up and reaching out 💙
In light of the news about one of my cricketing heroes this week, if you nothing else today please check in properly on a friend or family member. No one should feel alone and like they don’t want to be here. Please keep talking and realise vulnerability is strength 💪 x

Important and brave session by @patrickfoster02 at @EducationFest this morning.
Think many young men can get caught in the spiral of addiction and the shame/embarrassment of telling family and friends. Hopefully takes the stigma away and to tackle issues earlier on.
Great listen, listened to it all in one day on audio
Book. In the midst of a battle myself at the moment, it really does give you hope of coming out the other side.
A great PSE day today for the 3rd Form with such great speakers. Thank you @_satveernijjar on Mental Health, @patrickfoster02 on Addiction and Gambling and Jac from @DiversityRM talking about inclusivity.
