Double-edged swords: invented to increase effectiveness in battle, and along with that, introduced new risks. The additional edge was an acceptable risk, that could be managed with training.

Hey @ORUConnect it’s been a pretty rough year for power outages here in Southfields NY. Momentary outages wouldn’t be a big deal, but it’s happened several times this year, for several hours each time. Drive for 10 minutes in any direction, there’s power there.

As it relates specifically to JavaScript, I don't find "functional" codebases easier to read. That's like saying "Italian is easier to read than English", while knowing how to read Italian.
It's gonna take me a while to learn Italian.

A question that every developer has to ask themselves at some point is: “should I do what feels easier for me now, but makes life harder in the future for my users, my teammates, and myself?”
There can be other factors that influence the decision, but the answer should be NO.

I've had miserable WiFi performance on my @Apple M1 Pro MacBook Pro. It was the worst it's ever been yesterday, so thank you to @jnakoda for his awdkiller script that's restored WiFi performance on the two M1 MacBooks we have here.
