The demise of the BBC in Scotland is fine in terms of its anti-SNP influence weakening, but at some point we have to acknowledge a trusted - TRUSTED! - public service broadcaster is necessary and vital.
The Scottish parliament will have to act at some point to address the situation at BBC Scotland. STV's decision to cut its north east news service is just more evidence of how badly served Scotland is by broadcasters.
Scots contribute over £300m each year to BBC coffers. We are being short changed.
Another day with no gas used in Scotland to generate electricity but all of our bills based on high cost gas. We can't sort this in the UK. We can only fix it by leaving.
Yesterday #wind produced 34.8% of British electricity, more than imports 16.3%, gas 13.9%, nuclear 12.9%, solar 12.0%, biomass 7.2%, other 2.1%, hydro 0.9%, *excl. non-renewable distributed generation
If Reform had won in Scotland/ Wales it wd be an endorsement of detention centres, migrant hostility, austerity & welfare cuts. Question Time panels wd be full of it. But the SNP & pro indy Scottish Greens HAVE won, yet that's not an endorsement of independence. Go figure.
You have to admit, today's Scottish results for the SNP and particularly the Scottish Greens are pretty remarkable considering 99% of the news media were briefing against them on a daily basis. Imagine if we had an independent press. 🤔
I've got the TV on in the background, it's fascinating and pathetic in equal measure watching the @BBCScotlandNews coverage trying to spin SNP bad in the face of great results. They must be livid. Defund them on day 1.
Scotland has vast energy resources, yet some of the highest energy bills in Europe.
Our only oil refinery has been closed and massive renewable investment projects have been blocked.
The choice is ours: a dim future in the UK, or a bright one as an independent nation.

Private companies that sign contracts to deliver public services and then fail to do so should never be allowed to pay dividends to shareholders. A shareholder is a company owner. A company owner who takes public money, doesn't deliver, but takes profit, should be prosecuted.
Live Arran ferry schedule: 4 leaving today and 6 scheduled returns tomorrow. Stop with the ferry crisis and 'Scotland is shite' nonsense: it's now actually affecting tourism and island footfall: try journalism for a change.

Anas Sarwar in recent weeks ...
Rebuked by Lord Advocate for making misleading comments relating to a live case.
Condemned by Fire Fighters for making misleading comments anout the Glasgow fire.
Condemned by a stroke charity for a disgusting joke.
If this was John Swinney it would be all over BBC Scotland and STV News. He'd be the subject of discussions with media commentators with his suitability as FM called into question. But it isn't Swinney. It's Sarwar.
Cheaper commutes. More money left at the end of the week.

In Scotland, we support our carers.
From today, carers who look after more than one person for at least 20 hours a week will be able to claim over £500 for each additional cared-for person.
That’s the SNP standing up for Scotland’s carers.

Scotland has the lowest level of corridor care in the UK. Labour run Wales has the highest.
Wales - 28%
N. Ireland - 26%
England - 18%
Scotland - 7%
You'll never see this impressive stat reported by BBC Scotland.
Watch as ITV News reveals Scotland has the lowest level of corridor care in the whole UK ... Wales, run by Labour for 26 years, has the highest.
Would @AnasSarwar or @jackiebmsp care to comment?
Elon Musk is worth £845B; Tesla paid ZERO in income taxes. But if someone claims UC, you call them a scrounger. The biggest welfare queens are the rich, not families who need to eat.
You had to tune in to BBC Wales to find out about the attack on Scottish & Welsh devolution by the Labour Govt. Incredibly, this item focuses on SNP MP Stephen Gethins speaking in the House of Commons.
BBC Scotland is operating a complete news blackout of this story. The station is not fulfilling its obligations to Scottish licence payers.
