(and a cheeky 3, whether you now actively encourage dementia being described as a 'living death' by communicators, journalists etc?)

Woke up thinking about @WendyPMitchell. Not even 4 months since she left us but feels like forever. The world is definitely a little less bright without her wonderful humour, intelligence, bravery, kindness. Sending love to all who miss her x

.@BBCWomansHour Huge respect for the views of @thelizcarr But some ppl w disability do rationally decide it's better to be dead. We need to give choice to ppl like @WendyPMitchell who had #dementia . She recently had to stop eating &drinking as the only way to end her life

The way we talk about dying matters. #DyingMattersWeek Listen to the experts - dying people, and their closest loved ones. In the end, it's about giving them an opportunity to control the conversation - listening, respecting, supporting. Thanks @DyingMatters
Dying Matters Awareness Week starts today πŸ’› Patricia, Mumtaz & Lucy add their voices to this @dyingmatters animation exploring the power of language at the end of someone’s life. πŸ‘‰ Please help share this post. Thank you. #DMAW24 #TheWayWeTalkAboutDyingMatters @NLondonHospice

I confess, I felt like an imposter at #adi2024 today. I'm just a 3rd Yr PhD student surrounded by amazing people. Everyone appeared to have come with someone. I felt alone, overwhelmed & desperate to have confidence to speak to others more. But, I learned a lot from the speakers.
