So encouraged by yesterday’s shoulder-to-shoulder march with workers, unions, and community members in Toronto’s Labour Day March.
Labour Day is more than a holiday — it’s a reminder of the hard-fought victories of workers and the ongoing struggle for fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect on the job.
In Parkdale–High Park, we see the strength of our labour movement every day — from frontline healthcare workers and educators to transit operators, retail staff, and skilled tradespeople — all working to keep our communities thriving.
As your MPP, I will continue to fight at Queen’s Park for good jobs, stronger protections against Trump’s tariffs, and a province where no worker is left behind.

The Union has just completed mediation with Air Canada/Air Canada Rouge.
This was done with our Chief Mediator William Kaplan.
The Strike has ended. We have a tentative agreement we will bring forward to you.
We are required to advise our membership that we must fully cooperate with resumption of operations.
Your Union worked from 19:00h last night to 04:23h this morning.
We will have zoom road shows and a ratification for this contract. Your right to vote on your wages was preserved and we will go over this on the zoom presentation.
Your Union will have more information on this, and want you to know we will go over the details fully.
