Sooo... In other words. You wanna do what sony couldn't in just 1 sitting by wiping out their only competitor? I agree on the AI grievance. But why not dribble that "hardware's too expensive" ball over on both Playstation and Nintendo's courts? Why does it have to just be xbox?
Xbox has no vision for the future.

See how things like this can easily backfire when twisted and warped by those that mean harm to the brand @asha_shar @ballmatthew? Still think this fan boy nonsense is a game? And just tribalism that can be unearned. As I'm sure phill ASSUMED? Time to dig in and really compete.
In an interesting twist, the PS5 Pro could very well be the best place to play Halo: Campaign Evolved gameinformer.com/2026/06/16/…

Hopefully this is not the case as arkane is currently working on blade. Plus, despite the commercial hiccups. ID is too much a powerhouse to drop and is always active. Wanna trim the fat @asha_shar? STOP USING UNREAL! As you guys already own 3 powerful engines! Idtech being one!
Insider Gaming’s Mike Straw recently claimed that two Xbox studios are reportedly at risk of closure, with one of them supposedly being a studio that would “come as a shock to everyone.” 😬 If we’re speculating about which studio could be the “shock” closure, these are the two names that come to mind: Arkane Lyon The studio behind Dishonored 2, Death of the Outsider, and Deathloop, currently developing Marvel’s Blade. Most people would consider them safe, which is exactly why their closure would be so surprising. We know very little about Blade’s development, and if the project is facing major delays, budget concerns, or other challenges, Xbox could be forced to make a difficult decision. Marvel projects aren’t cheap, and expectations are undoubtedly high. id Software The legendary studio behind DOOM, Quake, and RAGE. This would arguably be the biggest shock of all. They’re one of the most iconic FPS developers in gaming history and a cornerstone of Xbox’s shooter portfolio. Beyond the upcoming DOOM DLC on July 7, we have very little visibility into the studio’s long-term plans. The other question is whether franchises like DOOM and Quake still have enough room to grow in today’s market. Both series remain highly respected, but they’re built around a style of FPS design that differs from many of the industry’s biggest modern shooters. The key question is whether Xbox sees enough long-term growth potential in these franchises to justify continued investment. Only Microsoft knows whether they’re meeting its commercial expectations. It’s also worth noting that id Software currently doesn’t appear to have any open positions, and the studio doesn’t seem to be listed on ZeniMax’s careers page either. That could mean absolutely nothing, but it’s another detail worth considering. I hate this industry some days. It feels like every year we lose talented teams and great studios. 💔 Who do you think the “shock” studio could be?

Good. Then we'll be happily awaiting a new Breath of Fire @CapcomUSA_
Capcom President Haruhiro Tsujimoto says their success can be attributed to the move away from individual led development: “In the game industry, when a title becomes a series, it often ends up depending heavily on a particular developer, becoming what you’d call an individual-driven title. If that person doesn’t make one, there’s no next installment. The direction of the series becomes tied to the ideas of a single creator. We discussed the issue with the central figures behind each franchise and ultimately agreed that we should abandon that approach. What we came up with instead was the idea that every title should essentially be rebuilt from the ground up. We didn’t mind even if sales temporarily declined as a result, and by switching to a team-based approach to game development, Capcom changed dramatically.” automaton-media.com/en/news/…

There's actually a mission with an enemy mountain base. Just like this in airforce delta on the Sega DC. Where you gotta pass through a narrow tunnel multiple times to hit a bunch of targets while avoiding anti-air attacks.

So even with this whole bs multi-platform approach. South of midnight didn't perform as hoped. And the so-called mules swearing xbox games would sell well on ps. Ultimately in the end, WASNT ENOUGH. WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED?🤷🏾‍♂️ Look, I'm no fan of folks losing their jobs. But...

The mental gymnastics is crazy here.🤦🏾‍♂️ "We want xbox 1st party exclusives to be on ps5 only because we just want the xbox console gone then to just buy 1. But still want the games on our ps all the while knowing sony will never share any of their 1st party with xbox."

I'd say at the most if @asha_shar follows history. They will at the most be 1yr exclusive even on pc. Like all previous entries as well as the new ip, starfield. This definitely would help boost sales of hardware and even gamepass subs of those that don't want to miss out.

1 of the many issues I have with the mainstream media running amok with so much speculation and misinfo. I am hoping this is something @asha_shar will try putting a clamp down on.

Xbox will likely undergo studio shutdowns and consider ad-supported subscription models following newly-installed CEO Asha Sharma's blunt warning that a corporate "reset" was now necessary. bit.ly/4os2Eyq

I understand how busy a person like you may be @asha_shar. But I hope you or your staff are seeing things like this and getting a much more robust understanding of the current situation with the brand. And how much fighting back matters. Competition is everything.

It's not about reaching fewer. It's gaining MORE on thier own hardware.

So we're back at this again? I cant speak for others. But I've said before that as long as the ads are NOT INTRUSIVE like popups. Or FORCED onto players like what youtube does. I honestly don't see an issue if say they had in-game posters or billboards @asha_shar @aarongreenberg

Yknow gang. I think I get it. Its like that old episode of batman animated. "Almost got em". Thats what's going on. Mf's on here in full out meltdown over 2 goddamn titles and a trailer. Because I honestly believe that they all looked for this year to be xbox's swan song

I really do believe that they were banking on the full damn slate. As a talking point to upsell the casuals and potential investors on the whole idea that the platform was completely dead.

Yknow gang... Wtf we always here wasting time going back n forth with folks that'll never see eye to eye with us. Or at least grasp our side of the argument. But instead willingly choose to just be ignorant. Or nasty. Than civil? Most are doing this for engagement. Or just bots

This is agree with. Granted I do feel after all sony has done they deserve a taste of their own medicine. 3rd party exclusivity I NEVER cared for even back when I was hardcore Sega. As it hurts that devs chance to branch out to more players. But 1st and 2nd party... A-OK
XBOX out here talking about pursuing third party exclusives in the future🤮 I HATE third party exclusives! Marketing deals are one thing, but any kind of timed exclusivity rubs me the wrong way. (DM me to learn what kind of rubbing I do like)

"Not able to deal with the penalty fees" I dunno. We talking about a 3-4trill $$$ company here that's been NOTORIOUS for pulling out of huge deals or pulling billions worth of product off shelves or while in transit to stores without batting an eye. @BeastOfTruth @thurisnospoon
✅Mr. Boomstick XL confirms: XBOX CEO Asha Sharma tried to make Halo: CE & Fable Exclusive as well but was unable to, due to prior contractual commitments. The break-up fee was reportedly too high to afford making the call.

Turnabout is fair play?🤷🏾‍♂️ I mean it's kinda funny that the very devs and pubs Sony once held an iron grip on. That even gained the nuggets to drop Nintendo way back in the late 90s. Going all through the early 2ks. Did a complete 360 and winded up BACK with nintendo
I find it extremely funny that PlayStation lost almost all of its Asian partnerships and marketing deals 😂 - Kingdom Hearts IV - Nintendo Direct - FFVII Revelations - Summer Game Fest/Multiplat - Persona 6 - Xbox showcase - Persona 4 Revival - Xbox showcase - Stellar Blade Blood Rain - Summer Game Fest/Multiplat - Resident Evil: Veronica- Summer Game Fest - Stranger than Heaven - Summer Game Fest - Castlevania Belmont's Curse - Xbox showcase almost all of their usual exclusives and moneyhats are multiplat now According to PS fanboys, they're the most important user base that buys most games....apparently not 😂
