After months of getting basically nothing out of Twitter (still refuse to call it 'X'), including barely seeing any content from anyone I follow and having substantially less engagement from posts, I have now bitten the bullet and created a Bluesky account (@phylophile) 1/2

I have tried to use an importer thing to find everyone I follow on here that is also on Bluesky, but if I've missed anyone with this approach please feel free to follow on Bluesky and I will do the same - I'm sure I've managed to miss some of you in the transfer 2/2

New paper out from Monil Khera's PhD, where we show evidence for behavioural thermoregulation in endotherms (banded mongooses) living at the equator. This is because they stop foraging and rest more when the temperatures are high. shorturl.at/r1Axk shorturl.at/lxfxa

Relatively stable equatorial temps mean similar studies have focused on higher latitude regions, but the mongooses are still constrained in their foraging by high temperatures. This could have serious implications for equatorial endotherms if global temperatures increase further.
