When it comes to low back pain presenting to the ED- early physical therapy means lower costs (mean = $3,806) than those in the delayed physical therapy group (mean = $8,689).

Due to APTA’s extensive advocacy efforts, the NCCI contractor has notified APTA that CMS will resolve the CPT coding change that prevented certain eval and activity codes from being furnished and billed on the same day for same patient. CMS to provide further details. Stay tuned!
