This is an historic day! With this final vote in the Senate, Bill C-22 - the Canada Disability Benefit Act - is now on it's way to receiving Royal Assent.
This is the culmination of years of activism from members of the disability community. This is your victory.

At PLAN we focusing more on bereavement and the grief process for people with developmental disabilities and their networks. It's good to continue to learn together.
We are supporting a team at @mcgillu to develop a bereavement training center, intended to give frontline healthcare workers tools to support caregivers who are grieving the passing of the recipient of care. Learn more: ow.ly/LkWf50NanRW

Canada has the means to end poverty and it is long past the time this should have been done. This article about older adults in poverty is devasting. Too many people with disabilities and their families are in the same situation.
