I built a life free of a W2 with 3 income streams. The first was in 2002. I quit my W2 and started a Plastic Resin Distribution company which now has sales of $3M Second, I started a media company focusing on niche aspects of traveling to Disney. One of these is food allergies(which both of my kids have) and the second is their Vacation Club. This business nets over $4000/month and is now on pace to grow to $8000/month by next year. Third, after hearing @shannonjean ‘s podcast about reselling. I was hooked. This was the perfect opportunity to show my adult kids what was possible. My kids are 21 and 26. Both trying to find their way. I started buying pallets from @bstocksol to show them the low entry point and the alternatives to the W2 trap. Our new business has generated 60% plus profits on evey item we’ve sold. Where can you make 60% profit on your money?? I’m proud to say that I’ve partnered with B Stock to make it easier for you to enter the reselling game. Follow the link, bstock.com/plasticboss to enter your email address and register your account. This process will walk you through what it takes to get registered including your resale license! Are you ready to begin your journey to freedom! Since 2003 we have been purchasing obsolete plastic resin. What does this look like? Plastic processors carrying heavy inventories from lost jobs, plant closings, or over-ordering benefit by our services. We have helped many plastic injection molders, extruders, and compounders clear up warehouse space and put cash back on their bottom lines. Offering a fair price to purchase obsolete resin is key and expectations are laid out in the beginning so there is no misunderstandings. Price guidance from us is given initially so the company we are working with gets a chance to analyze the numbers in order to move forward. Purchasing obsolete resin inventory helps keep this resin out of landfills which unfortunately in the end of life process for some resin. Our vast network we’ve built over 25 years helps us tremendously. Finding the right buyers for this resin using our network helps us move fast and drive right by that landfill to one of our processors instead. This obsolete resin is now repurposed into new products. I encourage you to reach out to me for these services if you have resin taking up space. We’d be glad to give you a quick answer on the options we can provide. My email address is lwelnowski@nickelcitypolymers.com I look forward to hearing from you!

Up until my mom passed away this past February, she was flipping yarn. My mom was the OG of the reselling game. When I was young, she had several garage sales every year and I worked them all. As soon as eBay launched, she opened an account. She couldn’t wait to sell on that platform. She was 80 when she passed and for the the past number of years she would go out to Savers on a Tuesday and buy up whatever yarn they had. Tuesday was senior day, so she’d get an additional 10% off. She would then list the yarn individually on eBay. Buy for .50 Sell for $3.00 She didn’t need the money. This kept her active. Kept her mind sharp. Got her out of the house. Most of our conversations started with her telling me of an eBay buyer 😅 experience. Now you wonder why I love reselling? It’s engrained in my DNA. She showed my the way. Now I’m showing my kids. I love you mom ❤️ #reseller

Are you willing to sell your house and move into an apartment? Are you willing to drive an equinox instead of a Yukon? Are you willing to make coffee in your kitchen every morning instead of stopping at Starbucks? These are the questions you need to ask yourself if you want to escape your W2. 3 steps back to take 100 steps forward. Your W2 controls your time. You don’t. I haven’t had to be to work “on time” for 30 years. I’ve built 3 income streams that have allowed me to work when I want, where I want. I’ve seen every one of my kids games, school functions, and went to every doctor’s appointment. The best part? I didn’t have to ask anyone’s permission. Once you realize that we only have so much time on this earth, your focus changes from money to time. I started sharing my experiences on how I quit my W2 and built a life of freedom. You can also. You just need to want it. You just need to take action. Steps in the right direction. Most don’t want to hear the first step. Most say they can’t reduce their expenses. That’s an excuse. Are you gonna find out what’s possible, or will you continue to make excuses? #weregonnafindout

Here’s what you need to know about the White House event tonight. Something you may not know about me, I’m a huge UFC fan. I’d watch ANYWHERE they are fighting #ufc #freedom250
The UFC is hosting fights at the White House tonight. Here's what you need to know: 1. The UFC is spending $60 million to put on this event. That's way more than the $3-4 million the company typically spends to put on an event and three times the $20 million it spent at the Las Vegas Sphere in 2024. 2. The UFC sold $30 million in corporate sponsorship deals — Ram Trucks, Crypto(.)com, Polymarket, Bud Light — with individual packages selling for $1.5 million. 3. Since tickets are being given out for free, the event is expected to lose about $30 million. 4. The UFC's $7.7 billion media rights deal with Paramount allows some fights to be simulcast on CBS, but tonight's entire event will only be available on the Paramount streaming service. 5. There will be 4,000 people on the South Lawn for the event — Trump controls about 1,000 tickets, with Dana White and Ari Emanuel controlling another 500 or so. The remaining seats were given to active duty military members. These military members had to meet body composition standards and pay for their own travel. 6. The UFC installed a giant arch over the octagon known as the Claw. The structure is massive — 60 tons, 154 feet wide, and 92 feet high, with a 100-by-100-foot canopy and 800 lighting fixtures — and since the UFC isn't allowed to dig into the South Lawn, engineers added 40 tons of weight to each leg to hold it down. 7. The Claw was flown from Belgium to Philadelphia, test-assembled in Philly, and then trucked down to DC. Each truck was placed in storage before being searched by the Secret Service, and the UFC needed 38 days to assemble everything (compared to their normal 2 days). 8. The UFC is covering all production costs, but taxpayers are still on the hook for $10-12 million in supplemental security costs. The White House says this money would have been spent anyway and that it comes from a federal fund (approved by Congress) specifically allocated for events surrounding the country's 250th birthday. 9. Since attendance on the South Lawn is invite-only (and limited to 4,000 people), the UFC is holding a watch party at the Eliipise. Roughly 85,000 tickets have been distributed for free, and while the UFC plans to sell food, beverages, and merchandise, Dana White told ESPN that "the government will get a piece of it." 10. Every fighter will be wearing custom red, white, and blue gloves with an American flag stitched on the wrist. BONUS: Trump's latest financial disclosure indicates that he purchased up to $50,000 in TKO stock, the parent company of the UFC. Some say this is a conflict of interest, while others claim it is insignificant, given that his full financial disclosure included over 3,700 stock and bond trades worth more than $220 million. That's it for today. Enjoy the event, and if you want to learn more about the business and money behind sports, join 135,000 others who read my newsletter. Sign up: huddleup.substack.com/

Never hire your friends. It may work out, but if it doesn’t, they won’t be your friend anymore. I’m speaking from experience. I hired a friend. After a year and a half, I had to make a decision to trim my payroll. I was instantly blocked on all social media. Now I don’t have that friend anymore. It was a decision I had to make. I’m also not a fan of hiring your family even though my wife and my son work for all 3 or my companies. I believe we are an anomaly. I’ve heard multiple stories of businesses breaking families up and that has to be the worst. Hire strangers Hire them fast Fire them faster No hard feelings.

It was Sept 2002. I don’t remember the exact date, but I remember the day like it was yesterday. The last day of my 2 weeks notice I gave my last W2 job. I walked out the door, got in my 1992 Toyota Corolla, rolled down the windows because I needed to feel the fresh air on my face.I knew panic would set in while I was driving. I left without another job lined up. I had a wife and a 3 year old son. I had a 6 month non compete hanging over my head. But, with all that, I still had some sense of relief. I was relieved that I would no longer be making a small salary ($35,000) while I was responsible for hundreds of thousands of profit for the company that I wasn’t seeing a dime of. The final straw? On ONE deal, I made them $125,000 in profit. What did I get? Nothing. Then yelled at later that day because I couldn’t get an answer on some small $1000 deal I was working on. After this, I knew I couldn’t do it anymore. I wasn’t making enough money to support my family, and I wasn’t suffering from severe anxiety because of it. I didn’t even know my symptoms were anxiety until years later. I just knew I needed to get out. I took 6 months off and stayed home with my son while my wife got a job. In Feb 2003, I started @Nickel_City with the help of one of my customers who became my partner. I bought him out 15 years later. I thought it would be easy to just fall back into selling my old customers. Not the case, I had no purchasing power as a new company. I struggled for years until I got established. I’ll never regret this decision. Time was what I gained. My schedule. No one else’s. I went to EVERY one of my son’s baseball games, even though college ball. I went to EVERY one of my daughters volleyball games. I went to every doctors appointment. Every activity they did. I didn’t miss anything. I made them the most important activity in my life. Now, they are in their 20’s and I live without regret. Nickel City Polymers became a multimillion dollar business. Today, it’s run by 3 people. Myself, my wife, and my son. I also own 2 other businesses which provide diversified income for us. One is a consumer reselling business. Do I need to sell fans and rugs? No, but I’m continually showing my kids the 9-5 alternatives that will allow them to control time like I did. I want to do the same here on X for those that are struggling like I was. The second is a media company that focuses on running niche Facebook groups and earns money through sponsorships of these groups. I started sharing my experiences here on X and I’d appreciate a follow if you are interested in learning from me. #weregonnafindout

You don’t need to scale I run a multi million dollar plastic resin distribution/brokering business with 3 employees. Myself, my wife and my son. I tried scaling and was up to 13 employees/salespeople. All that brought me was stress and drama. Now we do half the sales we used to and make significantly more money. No scaling equals more control of your time. #stopscaling

People often ask me what the best part about living W2 free for the past 25 years? 👉 Working when I want, where I want and not having to answer to anyone. You can have this life also. All you need to do is take action and start building something. 25 years later, I have 3 successful income streams. One of these streams has paid for my mortgage for 10 years. Next question I get: “What are these income streams?” 👉 Plastic Resin Distribution/Brokering 👉 Media company that focuses on building niche Facebook groups, collecting sponsorships for these groups and the newsletters we are sending to these participants 👉 Reselling consumer product returns from major resellers through the @bstocksol platform That’s my 3. There’s plenty of others you can start today. Follow me if you want a path to leave your W2 and get your time back. #weregonnafindout

Today we said goodbye to our protector, our best friend, our couch buddy. For 18 years, she gave exactly what we needed in our family. Someone that was always there waiting for us and loved us unconditionally as we did her. RIP Mocha ♥️

I’m 55 years old. I own a multimillion dollar plastic resin distribution and resale business which I started in 2003. I started another business selling rugs and home goods. Why? I want to show my kids what is possible. I want them to see there is another path besides the handcuffs of a W2. I also want to inspire others with my actions and share them on this platform. I’m teaching my kids and others the value of time. Time should be our #1 priority. If you work a 9-5, you are strapped to a desk, punching a clock, rushing to be there on time, negotiating for PTO, putting in your vacation time early to get the week you want. Just typing this gives me anxiety. I lived that life for 6 years in my late 20’s and one day, I just left. Gave my 2 weeks notice and had no idea what I was going to do. The day I walked out that door, my uncommon life started. For the past 23 years, I do what I want, when I want, for however long I want. I’ve attended every one of my kids games, doctors appointments, and school functions. I take 7 vacations/year and have the freedom to play golf anytime I want. People often asked me if I had a job 😏 when I’d be the only parent at my son’s college baseball game at 2pm on a Wednesday in the middle of Pennsylvania. Does this mean I don’t work hard? Quite the opposite. Technology has given me the ability to work anywhere. I’ve made deals on the beach, the golf course, at Disneyworld, at a dentist appointment, everywhere. Time has become my obsession and I want it to become yours. By the way, I run my plastic business with 3 employees. Myself, my wife and my son. You don’t need to scale to be successful. I’ve tried it. It sucks to manage drama everyday. We run lean and mean. Same for the new business. Our time is always the priority. If an idea interferes with my freedom, it doesn’t happen. Just my philosophy, you can disagree and have different priorities, but we only have so much time left on this earth and you really don’t NEED to feel strapped to a 9-5. You just need to take action. No action means no progress. It’s means nothing changes. You don’t need a 3000 sq. ft. house, 2 car payments, a Rolex, designer clothes, etc. Scale back and start valuing time. I’ll be teaching you how to live an uncommon life like me because I believe in Karma. Give me a follow and I can't wait to help you live your life to the fullest. #onelife
