Texas Women Veterans Day, observed June 12, honors the courage, service, and sacrifices of Texas women who have served in the military. 🇺🇸 It also marks the legacy of the 1948 Women’s Armed Services Integration Act, which opened the door for women to serve as full members of our armed forces. This #WomenVeteransDay, I want to recognize my colleague, Representative Josey Garcia, the only woman veteran serving in the Texas House.
