It’s been fantastic to be involved with @nationaltrust on the largest geophysical survey they’ve ever commissioned. We’re particularly pleased to have been able to substantially enhance our understanding of the 4th largest city in Roman Britain & the archaeology surrounding it

With the 13k police on duty, wasn’t there a way of allowing a small protest by people who don’t support the monarchy without need for arrests? I mean, really…?
The head of the UK’s republican group has already been arrested by police this morning while collecting drinks and placards for demonstrators. There has been serious debate about the power afforded to police to prevent disruption of today’s coronation. theguardian.com/uk-news/2023…

The UK government has announced plans to increase solar power capacity “up to five times” by 2035. If built, solar farms would still only represent half the space taken up by golf courses. 2/4

Feels like this leadership election is dodging the key issue facing the Conservative Party: you can't have Thatcher levels of taxation & Johnson levels of public spending - particularly given damage Brexit has done to economy increased demand for public services post COVID 1/2
