Trump on Taiwan: When you look at the odds, China is very, very powerful, big country. That's a very small island. Think of it, it's 59 miles away. We're 9500 miles away. That's a little bit of a difficult problem. Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn't know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.

Republicans continue to posture on "free markets" and "pro-business", yet it would be hard to find an Administration more actively interventionist or politically punitive towards markets or business than the Trump White House. It is statist and personalist through and through.

The notion that this is what "limited government" looks like - armed masked men accosting people in the streets, using the army to bully state and local authorities, arbitrary tariffs determining what you can buy, the President setting taxes and spending w/o Congress - is absurd.

Every time I post, it's like "ha, he couldn't stay away!" To the contrary, I post every once in a blue moon simply so they don't shut my account. That's all. My life is way happier without this place.
