India's defence growth story has made many milestones during the last 4399 Days of dynamic leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. A big initiative has been launched, shifting from "Buyer" to "Builder" in defence production. Defence production have touched an all-time high of ₹1.54 lakh crore in FY 2024-25 registering a rise of over 234% from FY 2014-15. Over 17,000 MSMEs now form the backbone of India's indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystem. DPSUs in collaboration with emerging startups across its business verticals, harnessing their innovation and recognizing their valuable contributions towards building Aatmanirbharta in defence manufacturing. DPSUs through Apprenticeship Training, PM Vishwakarma, PM Internship Scheme, Centres of Excellence, Vocational Training Centres, and On-the-Job training have turned potential into purpose, and skills into sustainable livelihoods for youth.
