If you haven't noticed, we're obsessed with visual media. Visuals help people understand! In a study on medical instructions, 90% of people who got instructions with visuals correctly understood how to take the medicine compared to 47% who got text only. #healthliteracymonth

Happy to report that Part 1 of my research on #informedconsent for #clinicaltrials has recently been published in the Law & Psychology Review.
It has lots of baseline data on the #readability of ICFs before the Revised Common Rule took effect.

1. Think about the audience
2. Be clear & don’t make them read too much
