Metropolis Makerspace hosted a Pi Day Welding and Pie maker social today, where students and staff welded Pi digits onto a sculpture and ate homemade pie. We have welded more than 600 digits so far across multiple events. #AroundMIT#MITMaking

Over a 2-day MAD IAP workshop led by @Projectmanus' Katherine Gilbreath, students learned introductory methods of bookbinding — Japanese stab binding long stitch techniques, and a general overview of bookmaking practices. They walked away with 2 books they handmade themselves.
