Chris, i don’t think we as should be normalizing tantrums like that. It does affect players who are in a middle of a game who hear loud noises. In many sports such acts are penalized as unsportsmanlike behavior in order to send a message to younger athletes.
I can't believe it.
We were just having a great day: playing chess, drinking, eating chilli, and being silly.
Just over a week ago 😭😭.
RIP my great friend, Gavin Wall ❤️

Really upset by this tweet. The twitter algorithm showing me this sort of content instead of tweets about chess is why I'm mostly using the other place.
Sensational stuff. We've had the extreme left - extreme right antisemitic horseshoe that Corbyn managed to enhance and now here we have a new alliance based around sexual orientation. Not a horseshoe, perhaps, something in the shape of a limp dick @jk_rowling@antisemitism
Congratulations to Arjun Erigaisi for crossing the 2800 mark in live chess ratings! This is a phenomenal feat. His exceptional talent and perseverance make our entire nation proud. In addition to being a great personal milestone, it will also inspire many more youngsters to play chess and shine on the global stage. Wishing him the very best for his future endeavours. @ArjunErigaisi
Congratulations to Gawain Jones who is the British Chess Champion after a great play-off! 🎈🎈Well played to both @GMGawain and @DavidHowellGM who topped the Open standings, both scoring 7/9. Thanks to Dennis Dicen, @meltastic1_ and Brendan O'Gorman for their photos throughout.
Sir Keir Starmer will be the first knight to become PM in quite a while.
I’m expecting the UK to take a couple of big steps forward. Then one to the side.
