So Steam Frame runs an ARM version of SteamOS (Linux)
However they built a translation layer that can run AndroidARM games and convert those calls into LinuxARM ones. This translation layer is called “Lepton”
The idea was likely to make it easy to port Quest games to Frame

Why are people always trying to "install" AppImages? The main point is that you can just download them , set the executable bit, and run by double-clicking. The file manager could provide a good user experience for it if it wanted. No "installation" needed!
