A very productive morning weeding outside ⁦⁦@growingforgold⁩ ⁦@EGRA_London⁩. Not a drop of glyphosate in sight! It’s so good to get out there and do something for the local community.I’m sure others will agree! ⁦@ElthamEnviros#GreenerGreenwichCommunityGroup

Bit concerning to see a @Royal_Greenwich employee telling @KateM45 she’s not allowed to film him as he drives down the wrong side of Vanbrugh Hill in a council vehicle. I trust the council will take this seriously. @MPSGreenwich
⁦Vanburgh hill - a fatal accident waiting to happen. Crossing is terrifying due to drivers coming around the blind bend at speed or using the wrong side of the road- like this guy who told me it was allowed because they are ⁦@Royal_Greenwich⁩ security. @DanLThorpe

Doubt this would have been possible without the modal filter in place on this quiet street formerly a very nasty rat-run.
Sunday afternoon strolling through a low traffic neighbourhood in East Greenwich and came across a harpist playing the most amazing music in her front garden - all socially distanced! 🙂 #community @EGRA_London @SarahJ_Berry @DanLThorpe @Chris_C_Lloyd

One thing I think drivers don't get is that the inconvenience they're experiencing from school streets, LTNs and cycle lanes is miniscule in comparison to the inconvenience other road users have been asked to take for the benefit of drivers over the years.

This part of East Greenwich is a long established low traffic neighbourhood. It can be accessed by residents and visitors but provides no options for through traffic. As a result, it’s never busy with traffic and is a pleasant area to explore on foot or by bike.

The Rose Garden, a small park on the corner of Blackwall Lane and Tunnel Avenue is under threat of being sold off by @Royal_Greenwich again. Greenwich can't afford to lose any more green space.
First covered on the site in 2014 (!) - we’ve asked the council what’s going on and hope to have a story soon...

Whoever designed that style replacement bridge can't have ever spent any time either walking or cycling. @Royal_Greenwich time to step up and insist on proper pedestrian and cycle infrastructure before granting planning permission. It the least we expect.
Replying to @VictoriaRance
Those 360 degree switchback corners on the replacement bridge shown are nearly impossible to get around. A huge downgrade from the existing bridge. Just one example of the issues that need addressing.
