She gave the ball back for a signed bat, some hats and a signed baseball. ๐Ÿฅด God blessed her with a winning lottery ticket, and she gave it back for some peanuts compared to what the ball is actually worth.. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Another important element of this story: Shohei Ohtani said (via interpreter Will Ireton) that he met with the fan who caught the ball. โ€œI was able to talk to the fan, and was able to get it back." Ohtani never met the fan.

The fan that caught Shohei Ohtani's first Dodgers home run received a signed bat, ball & two hats. But the fan and her husband say the Dodgers separated them, refused to authenticate the ball & pressured her into a quick deal. Here's what they told me: theathletic.com/5392308/2024โ€ฆ

What he said.
Niners once lost Steve Young & Jerry Rice in a vomit inducing wk 1 disaster. That tm went 13 -3 despite losing Rice to a torn acl. The lesson - never ever give up on a season. Just hold on, regroup, play your ass off, & see what happens. The results may surprise you!

At this point yesterday the fire was still on the Corliss side of 410. This is the moment the fire just took off and soon after became the #SumnerGradeFire. You can see how there was no chance of containing it any longer with the wind picking up.

Jumped the highway. Nothing between us and the #sumnergradefire, except trees. Evacuated our home yesterday afternoon. Thanks to men and women trying to save our neighborhood.

Tuesday night was worrisome. Still in level 3 evacuation status, but looks better. Firefighters and police are doing an incredible job.
