My mother passed away four years ago unexpectedly during Covid when they were living in Texas the hospital only allowed one person in to see her and that was my father from start to finish. She died four weeks later. I never got to say goodbye. It still haunt me to this day but I'm never gonna hear her voice again. I didn't even have any saved voicemails from her so now I make a point to talk to my dad at least every other day even if it's for five minutes or an hour just to see how he's doing
