Check out this new method from #WelchGrantee Julian West's @pushingarrows lab at @ChemistryRice on BCP boronate ester synthesis! This iron LMCT photocatalysis method enables the direct conversion of carboxylic acids to boronate esters using B2Pin2 in DMSO without pre-activation. This could be a remarkably useful reaction in the medicinal chemist's toolkit!
